Wäschetrockner oder Erhitzen sollte vermieden werden, um die Fasern zu schonen!

Bei unserer Bio-Baumwolle ist die Verwendung chemischer Düngemittel, gentechnisch veränderter Pflanzen, Entlaubungsmittel und synthetischer Pestizide verboten. Bio-Baumwolle hat einen geringeren Wasserverbrauch als konventionelle Baumwolle, verfügt zudem über ein sehr geringes Allergiepotential und ist damit hautschonend. Es ist kein Mischgewebe und daher gut zu recyceln. Unser Standard-Material für Sweatshirts besteht aus 100% Bio-Baumwolle und ist innen angeraut, was ihm den weichen und kuscheligen Touch gibt. Mit einem Gewicht von 280 g/qm ist es nicht zu dick, aber trotzdem ausreichend wärmend und gemütlich. Das Gewirk wird vor der Konfektion sanforisiert, vorgewaschen, um später ein zu großes Einlaufen zu verhindern.

Kardoos ist ein relativ kleiner, aber quirliger Betrieb, der für all unsere bunten Sweatshirts und Jogginghosen verantwortlich ist. Wir haben Ricardo Da Costa, den Chef von Kardoos, über andere Fabrikbesitzer in Barcelos kennengelernt, mit denen wir dort zusammenarbeiten. Sie sind alte Freunde, die sich nicht nur Aufträge und Kollektionen teilen, sondern ebenso ihre Werte und Ideen – auch in Sachen Nachhaltigkeit. Aktuell arbeiten Ricardo und seine Mitarbeiterin Nina an einer GOTS-Zertifizierung für ihre Fabrik, die 2022 abgeschlossen werden soll.
